Messed Up Toyota Concerns
Since toyota has froze sales on numerous vehicles i feel that i am in danger just driving down the road if toyota camry is the number one selling car in the us what if that camry hits me i feel that the gv should ban all toyota cars and trucks in this recall from being on the road to try and make it safe from the rest of the people on the roads.
Signed a concerned person

Has anyone considered that the problem is in the cruise control circuit and not the gas pedal/floor mat problem. I just read an article on the acceleration problem where a man in Minnesota had an unexpected acceleration with his Lexus. While he was accelerating down the highway at 80 miles per hour he tried pulling up the gas pedal with his foot. The car did not slow down. He then tried pushing down harder on the pedal. The car still did not slow down. As a minor shade tree mechanic opinion, the only other thing that would cause the throttle to open and accelerate the car at a high rate of speed while having both feet on the brakes would be the cruise control system. There is a cable that connects the cruise control to the throttle, on the engine, right along with the gas pedal cable. Have the cable, from the cruise control, removed or unconnected from the throttle body on the engine. Out of all the vehicles that have had a problem with the sudden acceleration, do all the vehicles involved have cruise control? This is just my opinion. Currently there is no one in my family that has a vehicle made by Toyota but if I did, I would highly recommend that the cruise control cable be disconnected from the throttle body until the vehicle could be looked at by the dealer for the sudden unexpected acceleration. This is just my opinion.

Sorry, I hit the wrong button.
Anyway, I worked in quality for a mfg company owned by japan, in middle tennessee. It’s a joke. They do not care about quality, it’s all about the QUANITY!!!
My 2007 camry that I bought in 2006 (roberts toyota in manchester), it didn’t even have 45000 miles on it when a piece of metal broke in the window, the sun visor broke, the fabric on the seats are bare thin, all of course not covered by the warranty. The company I worked for made parts for nissan, so I though buying toyota was a good investment. WRONG!! I bought a 89 ford bronco brand new and it still runs great. I interior is in better shape that the camry. Japan is to focused on Quanity, not Quality. They are totally laughing at us. GO AMERICAN!!!!
