Messed Up Email of the Day:

  by Andy - January 12th, 2010 - 10:35 am| Uncategorized | no comments

I am a single mother of 2 boys. Ages 10 and 5. Due to cancer and multiple surgeries I went through 3 years ago I am now disabled. Yes, its “messed up” that I had to wait for 3 years to get Disability benefits but that is one pill I can swallow. My 10 year old son has been begging me for a Playstation 3 since they came out but I haven’t been able to afford it.
However, I did receive my first check from Social Security in November and was thrilled to know that I was gonna make this the best Christmas he ever had. I gave him a choice to have that be his only present from me or I would spend the same amount on other gifts. Of course, he wanted the game system. I found one of the new 250 gigabyte PS3’s on E-bay for a whole lot cheaper than I would pay retail, so I ordered it right away giving myself plenty of time for delivery and to wrap it. I got email confirmations from the company I bought it from telling me that it had been sent and they even provided me with a tracking number from the United States Postal Service.
However, I never got it. I finally figured out how to actually track it on the website the day before Christmas Eve. It said that the package had been delivered to me on December 19th at 1:19pm, which was a Saturday. The funny thing is, my mailbox had been knocked down and dragged down the street on Friday night. It wasnt put back up until Monday afternoon. So, if my package was delivered on Saturday, where exactly is it? My mother and I were home ALL day on Saturday and nobody came to our house. I still have yet to get it. I have had a meeting and several phone calls with the Mount Juliet Post Master. She had promised to start an investigation, which she never did. She informed me that my mail carrier that day was a substitute and she spoke with her and she gave no information on where the package is or was delivered to. It had to be scanned at the Mount Juliet post office in order to leave the office for delivery and had to be scanned upon delivery for the delivery information to be in their computer. I have gotten the complete runaround with these people and my son still does NOT have his Christmas present. All other presents he got from family members were games to play on his new system so he REALLY DOES NOT have any presents he can play with. I feel awful for him and dont know what else to do. So, here I am. I have seen your program and thought maybe you could help me because “THAT is messed up”!
