Messed Up Email of the Day: Potholes on I-65

Today’s email of the day comes from a viewer who says TDOT still hasn’t finished its job.

Andy,
You did a story about the poor condition of I-65 several months ago and TDOT actually did fix a couple of the holes. The problem is, it is worse than ever. I see them repaving good sections of interstate and leaving this mess for those of us living in Sumner County.

Right now they are paving I-40 at Demonbreun and that part of the interstate is in great shape. I wonder if you might let TDOT or whoever your contact is knows that after spending all that money to widen I-65 because they failed to fix the last half mile.

It still sucks.

Thanks for helping.

I was driving on I65 N just the other day thinking the same thing. I am now trying to figure out another route into KY because this interstate is so bad. Sometimes I fear that I won’t make it off I65 without a flat tire or some other kind of mishap. The city has been blocking off interstates for months in order to repair and repave. WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO DO THE SAME FOR I65? This is absolutely ridiculous!!!
