Karin Brown Update

Here’s an update on a story Messed Up viewers were interested in when it aired.
It involved the case of Defendant Karin Brown, who was charged in the ID theft of Elizabeth Lester.
Brown pled guilty to ID theft, Fraudulent use of CC, and Forgery. She received 10 years as a range III offender, and will serve that sentence in the Tennessee Prison for Women.
Andy, this was a good story and follow-up but, how did they catch Ms. Brown? Did the police eventually “take” the case? Or did Ms. Lester herself bring her in for questioning?! What a shame for this poor woman having to deal with all this run around. My sympathies are with you Ms. Lester! Glad to see that the wait was worthwhile in this conviction.
The D.A.’s office took the case when the P.D. would not.
they followed through with the investigation and the indictments.
